The Medical Products Division is looking for a divisional Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Associate. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop, implement and maintain plant, divisional, and environmental systems, practices, and procedures. Submit air permits and air permit amendments as needed under EPA and Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) requirements. Submit environmental reporting requirements such as semiannual air permit compliance reports and emission inventories/tracking, SARA 312, 313, and TRI, as needed. Manage wastewater issues to insure compliance with City, State, and Federal wastewater regulations. Team with hazardous waste coordinator to develop and implement effective waste minimization and recycling programs for MPD. Team with process and R&D engineers to anticipate environmental constraints and help to provide solutions. Partner with Environmental Core Team. Act as a point-of-contact with various regulatory agencies, consultants, contractors, attorneys, etc. including the City of Flagstaff, City of Phoenix, Maricopa County and ADEQ.

Demonstrated organizational priority-setting skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred: Work in an R&D environment and manufacturing environment; knowledge of pollution control solutions (oxidizers, scrubbers, carbon systems); engineering background, chemistry background or interest.
